In April 2010 I was invited to speak at the PSFK conference. PSFK gathers a diverse array of speakers that share ideas that help make tomorrow better. I was part of the “changemakers” section of speakers, and I talked about the ongoing collaboration ITP has with the Innovations group at UNICEF in the form of a design studio class, originally taught by Clay Shirky. I discussed the lenses I use to examine UNICEF as a global organization from the perspective of an outside collaborator, but also two projects that have come out of the ‘Design for UNICEF’ class, Water Canary and RapidFTR.

Jorge Just, the RapidFTR braintrust, wrote a great blog post about my talk that explains some of the ideas I talked about from his point of view.
